The method

How a village transforms

1–3 mo

Community engagement

We form community groups, listen first, conduct a comprehensive needs assessment, and identify priorities together with residents.

4–9 mo

Child Education & Development

Children are enrolled and retained in school, provided with educational support, learning materials, life skills, and a safe environment to help them thrive.

10–18 mo

Infrastructure Development

Safe drinking water, toilets, sanitation facilities, drainage systems, and essential community infrastructure are developed with active community participation..

19–24 mo

Livelihoods & Capacity Building

Women and youth receive vocational skills training, financial literacy, entrepreneurship support, and self-help group (SHG) formation to strengthen sustainable livelihoods.

Ongoing

Community ownership

Community committees lead and sustain local development, working with government departments to maintain services and continue improving education, livelihoods, health and infrastructure long after the project ends.

Help a village own its future.

ICDP works because communities lead it. Your support supplies the resources; they supply the resolve.
